Brighton Turns 11!

A few things about my darling Brighton from 10-11. Where to begin? Brighton is an individual! She is as unique as her name and doesn't mind standing out in a crowd wearing her cat ears every day! I'd say she's more of a trend setter than anything!

Brighton has really developed into a nurturer this year. She's become another mama to Piper and Deacon and really tries to make them happy wherever we go. (As long as they don't make her too mad.) She's so sweet to little kids and they all adore her!Deacon split his eyebrow open at the ward Christmas party and he was so scared he was shaking. He thought his eye was going to fall out! She got up on the bed with him to hold his hand and talked to him to calm him down. What a good big sister!

Brighty loves being outdoors exploring. We camped a few times this year but that's not adventurous enough for Brighton. She wanted to backpack up into the mountains where there aren't any campgrounds and really rough it. That's not my idea of fun, so Aaron took her up on a backpacking trip so they could get as rugged as they want! These two go on all kinds of fun adventures together. They've been snowboarding a couple times this year too and she's starting to get the hang of it, though she's a fair-weather boarder, for sure.
Um, just stop. I don't like when she looks this beautiful.
For her birthday it wasn't a big friend party year, so she took two of her besties, Autumn and Elle to Circus Trix for some fun! She also got her free dutch bros and played with some lego sets she got for Christmas and her birthday. She loves legos!

Her "11" cake.
That's one large Dutch Bros!

This girl can rock any hair! Crazy hair day but I think she looked adorable.
One of the ways Brighton and I bond is by shopping together. Every Fall I take her to the mall and we go school clothes shopping together. We spend hours shopping and it's never enough time! I love getting quality one-on-one time with Brighton because that's when we really get to have so much fun together. She's at the age where she genuinely cracks me up and is so fun to be with. I honestly think she could have a career in comedy. I think she should be a comedy writer. Or a standup comedian. She's so witty and funny and creative!
On another adventure. This one was in Arizona.
